Poems

Geopolitical chess: A humorous take on a serious game!
A grand board, Earth, a cosmic sight,
Where nations clash, a fearsome fight.
A game of thrones, a power play,
Where alliances shift, night and day.
In a room of mahogany, dimly lit and dense,
World leaders gather, the stakes immense.
Their board? The globe, with squares of fate,
Every move shaping the world’s debate.
The King in his castle, oh so aloof,
“Protect my oil, and I’ll give you proof!”
The Queen with her influence, sweeping wide,
“Trade wars? Sanctions? Let’s see who’s fried.”
The Knights gallop with policies bold,
Spinning tales of tech and gold.
The Rooks stand firm, guarding their blocks,
“Who dares challenge our military stocks?”
Pawns march forth, small nations in play,
Used and sacrificed, come what may.
“Global economy? What’s that to me?
Just keep our borders commodity-free!”
China whispers, “I’ve got my Belt and Road,”
While America’s dollar continues to explode.
Europe sighs, “We’ve seen this all before,
Can someone please fix our energy store?”
